Rise & Ignite Youth Groups

Welcome to Rise & Ignite’s page!

Rise is Our Lady of Grace’s youth group for middle schoolers (grades 6-8), and Ignite is our youth group for high schoolers (grades 9-12). Rise seeks to teach and inspire young people to rise up and walk in the light of faith, while Ignite seeks to ignite an indistinguishable fire of faith in their hearts – so that young people of all ages may confidently live as disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, under the protection and guidance of our Blessed Mother. We want Rise and Ignite to allow pre-teens and teens to grow in healthy community with their neighbor, while they also grow in their personal relationship with Christ.

Both Rise and Ignite have weekly meetings that include games, free snacks, faith talks, and time to hang out with fellow Catholic teens. We offer other events throughout the year as well, including trips where we’ll get off campus and enjoy different things that Bucks County has to offer, as well as some opportunities to volunteer and help our brothers and sisters in need. Ignite also attends the Steubenville Catholic Youth Conference in Steubenville, Ohio each summer.

Join us for our next meeting! Any and all teens are welcome, whether you are a parishioner of OLG or not! 🙂 Just stop on by. Details can be found below.

RISE (grades 6-8): Every Sunday from 4:30-5:45 PM – St. John Neumann Room, OLG School.

IGNITE (grades 9-12): Every Sunday from 6-7:30 PM – St. John Neumann Room, OLG School.

COMING UP NEXT:

Go deeper with your faith this week at our Lord’s Day celebration! During this night of prayer, we will discuss this Sunday’s Gospel and give thanks for the blessings of the previous week. (Snacks and games also provided beforehand!)

We will also be doing a small service project at this meeting! Our soldiers overseas always need encouragement and thanks for all that they do to keep us safe, especially during the upcoming holidays. We will be writing letters of thanks and well-wishes to our troops at this meeting, and the letters will be sent to them through a wonderful organization called “A Million Thanks.”

Can’t wait to see you there!

STEUBENVILLE CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE: 2019 Information!!

“See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we may be called children of God.” -1 John 3:1
IGNITE is going on a trip to a Steubenville Catholic Youth Conference this summer!! This weekend-long retreat (Friday-Sunday) is for teens who have just graduated from 8th grade through teens who have just graduated from 12th grade by the end of the current school year. It’s held at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio (which is about 6 hours from here), and it is an INCREDIBLE experience for everyone who attends. The conference includes a weekend full of concerts, talks, Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, optional Confession, and so much more.
The price of the trip for each Ignite teen will include a conference ticket, lodging, transportation, a T-shirt, and meals at the conference (extra cash will be needed for any stops we make on our way to and from Steubenville). The price has not yet been set, as we need to get a sense for how many teens want to come, but usually, the total per teen is around the $300 price range. However, the total will be lessened significantly by lots of fundraising and sponsorships that we will do throughout the year. Maddie’s goal is to make this trip as affordable as possible so that every teen who wants to can come with us!
Maddie is hoping to register for the conference held from June 28-30, as that seems like the safest weekend when it comes to school being over, etc.
Here is a link to the general Conference website, if you’d like to learn more – greater detail about this year’s theme, “Belong,” is shown here, too. We will be attending one of the “Main Campus” conferences. https://steubenvilleconferences.com/youth/
