Rise & Ignite Youth Groups

Welcome to Rise & Ignite’s page!

Rise is Our Lady of Grace’s youth group for middle schoolers (grades 6-8), and Ignite is our youth group for high schoolers (grades 9-12). Rise seeks to teach and inspire young people to rise up and walk in the light of faith, while Ignite seeks to ignite an indistinguishable fire of faith in their hearts – so that young people of all ages may confidently and joyfully live as disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, under the protection and guidance of our Blessed Mother, in a world that often leaves us longing for more. We want Rise and Ignite to allow pre-teens and teens to grow in healthy community with their neighbor, while they also grow in their personal relationship with Christ.

Both Rise and Ignite have weekly meetings that include games, free snacks, faith talks, and time to hang out with fellow Catholic teens. We offer other events throughout the year as well, including trips where we’ll get off campus and enjoy different things that Bucks County has to offer, as well as some opportunities to volunteer and help our brothers and sisters in need. Ignite also attends the Steubenville Catholic Youth Conference in Steubenville, Ohio each summer.

Join us for our next meeting! Any and all teens are welcome, whether you are a parishioner of OLG or not! 🙂 Just stop on by. Details can be found below.

RISE (grades 6-8): Sundays from 4:45-5:45 PM – St. John Neumann Room, OLG School.

IGNITE (grades 9-12): Sundays from 6:00-8:00 PM – St. John Neumann Room, OLG School.

Prize Drawing Every Week!

This year, Rise & Ignite are starting a new initiative to spread the word about our events, and have fun while doing so! Whenever you come to a Rise or Ignite meeting this semester and mention us (@riseigniteolg) on your own Instagram or other social media account(s), you will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a prize of your choosing! There will be one winner per group each time we meet.
***Don’t have an Instagram account? No problem! Just show Maddie or Fr. Flores how you have spread the word/invited others to Rise or Ignite that week, and you will be entered into the drawing.
***Did you bring a friend with you to a meeting/event for their first time? Awesome!! Both you and your friend will be given 2 entries each into the drawing that night! (You will also be given 2 entries if you come on your own for the first time. We’re so glad you’re here!)

Can’t wait to see you at a meeting soon! Bring a friend and get ready for your chance to win! 😀

“See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we may be called children of God.” -1 John 3:1

IGNITE had an amazing time at the Steubenville Catholic Youth Conference held at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio from June 28-30, 2019! The weekend was packed with inspiring faith talks from dynamic speakers like Matt Fradd, Kelly Colangelo, Jimmy Mitchell, and Brian Kissenger; we praised God through song led by Jon Niven and his band; we celebrated Mass twice; we participated in the most beautiful Eucharistic Adoration; and so much more. We had so much fun, and we grew closer to the Lord in such profound ways. We were reminded over and over again that we truly belong in God’s family, and nothing can ever change that!

Thank you to all our OLG parishioners that prayed for us and donated to help make this incredible retreat a reality for our teens! We prayed for you all while we were there. God bless you!

We already can’t wait for next year’s conference! If you, your child, or someone you know is interested in joining us next summer for this life-changing weekend of faith formation and fun, please contact Maddie Appleby at youthminister@olg1.org. Steubenville Conferences are open to any teenagers that have just graduated 8th grade through any teenagers that have just graduated 12th grade by the end of the current school year. Hope to have you with us for next year’s conference (2020 Conference Theme: “Restored”)!
