The mission of Caring for Friends (formerly Aid for Friends) is "to provide food and friendship to homebound seniors and disabled persons, the homeless, and families with children in need in the 5-county Philadelphia region." (Learn more here.)
Caring for Friends involves cooking meal(s) in the comfort of one's own home, and then freezing them for people who are in need of a home cooked meal. Caring for Friends also needs people to help to deliver the meals at certain times. Meal trays are available at the back of the church, along with a freezer where you can place your finished meals. (If you are facing the altar, the trays and the freezer are located in the back right entrance of the church.)
If interested or for more information, please contact the Parish Office at (215)-757-7700. Thank you for your generosity!
Caring For Friends needs your help! We are in need of meals!
If you are interested in making a meal or two for those in need, you can pick up food trays by the freezer in church. You can take some trays home, fill them up with food or soup (directions are included with the trays), and return them to the freezer at your convenience. These meals are picked up and delivered regularly.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and great help to those in need!
