Confirmation Retreat

Friday October 11, 2024 - This is a public school holiday. PREP students should arrive at the school gym at 9:00AM.  Pick up for PREP students will be in the gym at 2:00 PM.  We will be going to the St. John Neumann Shrine for the retreat. Students should bring a bagged lunch and may bring money for the gift shop.

Family Visit to A Shrine (Only if your child misses the 10/11/24 retreat)

To become a Confirmation Sponsor, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia requires you to attain a Letter of Eligibility from your parish. This letter shows that you meet all of the requirements needed to be a sponsor. The letter also shows that you intend to continue to practice your Catholic Faith in a visible and active way.
The following are required to be a sponsor for Confirmation:

1. Must be a fully initiated Catholic of at least 16 years of age. (A fully initiated Catholic is one who has received Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.)
2. Must practice the Catholic faith by joining in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church which includes the celebration of Sunday Mass and Communion weekly and on Holy Days.
3. If married, the marriage was before a Catholic Priest or Deacon or before another religious or civil official with a dispensation from the Bishop.
4. Should be a model of the Catholic faith for the candidate and help in the preparation of the candidate for the Sacrament.
5. May not be the parent of the Confirmation candidate but may be a sibling or other relative.

Non-parishioners should contact the parish they are registered at for a Letter of Eligibility.
