Mr. Eric Harper joined the Our Lady of Grace staff in 2021 as Principal of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Tulsa in 2013; and his Master of Education (Alliance for Catholic Education) from the University of Notre Dame in 2015.
"I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I am the middle triplet; my brother is two minutes older, and my sister is one minute younger. I attended Catholic school through high school before attending the University of Tulsa. At TU, I studied political science and worked as an equipment manager for the football team, combining two of my greatest interests: politics and sports. After college, I was accepted to the Alliance for Catholic Education and placed in Memphis, TN as a part of a two-year commitment. While in Memphis, I taught social studies, religion, and physical education and I served as the athletic director, a department chair, and an assistant principal. Memphis Catholic was such a wonderful place and I was quite fond of the city. After six years in Memphis, I moved to northern Minnesota to teach math, religion, and social studies at St. Mary's Mission School on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. During my two years there, I learned much about indigenous culture and history. I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, walking my dog, Jackson, and almost any form of sports."
Eric's favorite saint is St. Ignatius of Loyola.
